Anna Ashcroft, a figurative sculptor, working primarily in stone and wood. Anna works with hand tools, and the carving experience is quiet and meditative. Anna explores themes relevant to her own life. " I see these small women, appearing out of the stone, as Hearthstones. Tiny symbols of life being lived, as a woman. I feel strongly that the FLAWS in the stone make it more beautiful in the end."
